Miniature Potbelly Pigs
Please note: We are no longer breeding our pigs due to time
constraints of a very busy family life... Please do
not ask to be put on a waiting list for future baby
pigs since we are not keeping one...
At this point we
do not register any of our pigs...
We breed for small pigs (40 - 60 pounds is average)
that have friendly temperaments and will make great
pets...
We are also breeding for blue-eyes in some of our
pigs...
Should you want a piglet that is already harness
trained and extremely tame, please add $200 to the prices
below...This is comparable to what other breeders of
the same quality pigs as ours are charging...
We do not have the indoors space to litter-train or
house-break piglets, however, we have found that
it is not helpful or necessary since each pig must
be trained for every new house situation they face...

She had just had a litter and was still nursing
them when this photo was taken...She is not as
overweight now as she looks in this photo...

Name: Dreamflower Padmae
Born: 6.29.05
Color: Black with White Markings
Eye Color: Two blue eyes
Price: $150
Height: 15"
Weight: about 60 pounds
She is an excellent breeder and great
mother...We just don't have time for more than 2
pigs at this time, so we are hoping to find her
a good home...
|
She is a very friendly pig
who used to do petting zoos, Kiss-the-Pig
Contests, and lots of educational school
shows...
She was harness trained at one point, but we
have not put a harness on her in awhile,
although, I know she would have not trouble
being reintroduced to a harness with a little
patience...
She loads in a crate really well and has no
trouble riding in cars... |

We
highly recommend the book written by Nancy Shepherd
of Pig O' My Heart Potbellies...Please visit her
website to order this very informative book:
www.potbellypigofmyheart.com
If possible, please order the
book well ahead of time, so that you can read it
before bringing your new piglet home...
She also has harnesses available that are
specially designed for pigs...Dog harnesses do not
work well for pigs since the neck straps are usually
too small to fit a pig's neck... Another concern
with dog harnesses is that the neck straps must be
slid over the head which even the tamest pigs do not
like...The pig harnesses are shaped and sized to fit a
potbelly pig just right...All the straps have buckles, also, to
make putting on the harness more enjoyable for
both human and pig...
We keep small harnesses for
baby pigs in stock for our buyers at an additional
$15...
Just let us know at
least a week before coming to pick up your piglet
that you would like to purchase the harness from us
to make sure we have enough in stock...
We
also can have a 20# bag of "Mazuri Mini-Pig - Youth"
feed here for you to take home for an additional
$15...This is what we feed our nursing mothers and
the babies. This food should be fed until they are 4
months old, which at that point you would switch to Mazuri Mini-Pig - Active Adult feed. Just let us
know at least 3 weeks ahead of time if you want us to
provide a bag of feed for you.

Due to time constraints, this is the
last litter of pigs that we are planning
to breed:
If you are interested in any of these

shannonorth@dreamflowermeadows.com
Please include all your contact information in the
e-mail, such
as:
First
& Last Name, All Phone Number(s), & Full Physical Address...
Also, let us know
the herd initials of the baby you are
interested in:
ZPO1, ZP02, ZP03, or
ZP04
Please do not contact us to be placed on
a waiting list since we are no longer
going to breed our pigs!
If you would like
a neutered male, please include this in
your e-mail as well…
We have the baby males neutered
by our vet at about 4-5 weeks old...The
tusks are also removed at this time...
We do require a $100 non-refundable deposit before we will
neuter any of our male pigs, so please make
sure you have a PayPal account set up
ahead of time…
We do not spay our
females ahead of time since this is
major surgery and can not be done safely
until the female is at least 12 weeks
old...Preferably 6 months old...
If a buyer wishes to have their female
pig
spayed, then it must be arranged for and
paid for by the buyer and the actual
surgery must be done after the pig has
left our farm...We will not offer any
compensation for a pig that does not
make it through this type of surgery
once it has left our farm… |
